Need help on Law of privacy and freedom of press?

Just wondering, but wouldn’t taking pictures of someone without permission be invasion of privacy? Like the paparazzi. But wouldn’t freedom of press/speech come into this too?

No it is not invasion of privacy. There is no expectation of privacy when out in public. And no freedom of the press and speech have nothing to do with this. They only stop the government not news media.
